Step 1 : Visit this website python.org/downloads/ (Download whichever is the latest one)

Click on Download Python 3.10.7

We recommend that you download the latest Python installer (currently Python 3.10.7) for Windows.

If you have a different OS, download the binaries accordingly. If you have a 64-bit system, you can choose the x86–64 installer.

If you have a 32-bit system, select the x86 installer. But you can also click the download button in the header of the page.

Step 2 : Install the python files that is downloaded.

Next, you need to install the binaries you downloaded.

Run the installer. It will show you two options.

Install PIP Windows

This is the default option. Also includes IDLE (Integrated Development Environment), pip and official documentation. It also creates shortcuts.

Customize your Python installation

This option allows you to select the features you want.

  • pip
  • tcl/tk and IDLE- installs tkinter and the IDLE

Advanced Options while Installing Python

  • Create shortcuts for installed applications
  • Add Python to environment variables
  • Precompile the standard library
  • Download debug symbols
  • Download debug binaries (requires VS 2015 or later)
  • You can also specify the location where the directory should be installed.
  • In addition to these two options, the installer will also ask you if you want to add Python to your PATH.

3. Add Python to system environment variables

Browse to the Python directory on your computer and add the location to the end of the PATH variable. It might look like this:

4. Install pip

If you tick the checkbox for pip in Step 2, pip will install for you.

There are two ways to run python:

  1. Using command prompt

Search for Command Prompt an type “python”

type “2+3” it will show “5” that means python is installed Successfully !!

2. Using The python IDLE

Again type “2+3” it will show “5” that means python is installed Successfully !!
